Welcome! This page offers a sneak peek into my background and what really drives me and fuels this company. I am ardently focused on the revitalization of downtowns and the reactivation and reclamation of our public spaces, parks, walkways and alleys.  I have over 15 years experience serving as CEO, Director and consultant for downtown communities in Michigan, California and Arizona. Within that time I've had the opportunity to work with some pretty amazing people! 

 

I worked side-by-side with property owners and developers who had a clear vision and a big dream, to renovate and restore their buildings. I've created new development organizations, raised funds, re-branded communities and worked on everything from streetscape and arts/cultural events to recruiting and developing new businesses. 



Prior to my career as Downtown Development Director, I co-owned and operated Otello's Ristorante, an Italian Restaurant; Renee de Paris, a French bakery and cafe, Theatre Coffee, a coffee house featuring local art and entertainment; and Grand Catering. My brother and I successfully operated these businesses for eight years in the heart of downtown Jackson, MI. The businesses were located in two very cool historic buildings which were cited for demolition. We were able to save the buildings and renovate them into four retail storefronts with two residential units up above, where we resided.  


My love for development, building restoration and providing service to others goes back to those early restaurant days. I love restoring old buildings, revitalizing public spaces and helping others achieve their goals. My enthusiasm for doing what I love shows through in every project I work on.
